Second in a series, the 'Rage Vessel' takes the shape of the goddess Athena and her owl. It was a place to put my rage after witnessing my dear one being bullied. I called on Athena for protection.

It is a hand-built, hollow ceramic structure that is decorated using a variety of underglazes and glazes. Texture was added before the first firing using slip trailing technique to form the small snakes and textural details of her head piece. The painted details were made with underglaze and a fine brush. The top of her head is a lid and the small buildings that rest on her shoulder are removable bells that can be lifted off to ring. It was created as a place to store [your] rage, a container that represents protection (and sometimes vengeance).
